April Five, 2010
So this morning I woke up a little later, about nine, because of all the exersise I got yesterday (About that--I'm officially addicted to exersise now. Officially. Fortunately, there are worse things to be addicted to; Nicotine, for one. Anyway). So I got up and . . . Let's see, I didn't have breakfast but I sat and read for an hour. Then I chowed down on a nummy grilled cheese and after that read some more. Then I was seized by a sudden inspiration to write a list of things, a-z, of things you can do when life gives you lemons. I was very proud of it.
Then I had a peanut-butter-and-honey sandwich and my mom and I went for a hike/jog out at SW again. Mmmmm. Exersise. We returned home and I allowed myself to read even MORE (I'm now almost done with The Second Summer of the Sisterhood) before watching a bit of T.V., then settling in on the back porch to nom nom nom on some healthy yogurt (I'm a bit of a health nut right now. I'm trying to avoid things spiked in sugar. I feel so GOOD!!!) and read AGAIN. So now I'm writing in the blog. And the dog just threw up. Urghhh.
The weather was nice agian today. A little cloudy and chilly in the morning but it's got up to I think almost seventy right now. A bit of a brisk breeze, and a little misty at the lake, but other than that it's perfect!
Since Clark's at driving school we don't want to have his favorite meal (Chicken enchiladas) without him, so alternative plans include walking downtown for burgers or hot dogs/ice cream, or staying here for either sandwiches or something elaborately pulled together at the last minute. I vote hot dogs, thank you very much.
CONNECTIONS
Emma: Yesterday I forgot to say I thought about her in church, because in the seventh Harry Potter book, when Harry and Hermione are looking at his parents' gravestone, it reads, "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death." That's actually a Bible verse: Corinthians 15:26. So I'm going to make that a quote and put it on my door. The lemons list is going on my door too. I'll post that as soon as I'm done with this. And I thought of her last night when we watched Sherlock Holmes. Robert Downey Jr. was really good, but it was too creepy/thriller/horror for my tastes. It was okay.
Emily: I texted her last night but STILL haven't heard back from her. Guess it's too late to get together now :(.
Anja: In Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, the Sisterhood lives in D.C., so every single time it references that, I think of her :).
Caitlin: That's what you get for waking up in Vegas . . . -Katy Perry
TTFN!
-Madeline
P.S. Wish me luck with my hot-dog-dinner-plans-that-probably-won't-sit-too-well-with-my-parents-but-I-can-try-anyway.
P.P.S Emma, when you read this, WHY HAVEN'T YOU BEEN TEXTING ME?!
